Overview:       The attendee will learn current evidence-based orthopedic testing strategies to accurately diagnose many of the most commonly presenting knee and knee-related conditions. Conditions including the collateral sprain, muscle strain, cruciate sprain, meniscus injury, patellofemoral pain syndrome and medial tibial stress syndrome will be discussed.

Objectives:     The attendee will be provided with a basic review of research, statistics, anatomy and physiology review, biomechanics review, and presented with up-to-date evaluation and management techniques concerning knee-related conditions. At the end of the presentation, the attendee should have an in-depth understanding of current research regarding the evaluation and management of the knee and its contributing structures.

Hour 1- Introduction, clinical statistics, anatomy review, trauma

Hour 2- Collateral and cruciate evaluation and management

Hour 3- Meniscus evaluation and management

Hour 4- Patellofemoral pain syndrome, foot biomechanics, medial tibial stress syndrome
